Groundswell Startups announces a 4-week program to serve aspiring entrepreneurs in partnership with the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast. Tailored to first-time founders, the Explorer Program will teach the skills necessary to create, manage and grow a technology startup.
“The EDC is excited to partner with Groundswell Startups to bring the Explorer Program to our high-tech start-up community,” said Lynda Weatherman, president, and CEO of the EDC. “This important resource will further drive new and emerging startup growth here on the Space Coast.”
Beginning on Tuesday, March 13th, participants will receive access to all program materials and workshops as well as two months of included coworking. Weekly meetings will feature round-tables led by seasoned entrepreneurs in the Groundswell network. Topics will include market research, business model design, market strategy and funding.
“Immersion in the startup community is invaluable to new entrepreneurs,” said Micah Widen, CEO of Groundswell. “The Explorer Program will be an early introduction to the give-first mentality that Groundswell promotes.”
Groundswell will accept applications to the cohort through March 1st, 2018. The cost for the program is $99 per person. For more information on the program, visit swellstartups.com/programs.
Groundswell launched in June of 2015 to build an ecosystem where Space Coast entrepreneurs can build, collaborate, and thrive. Groundswell serves this mission through free workshops, networking events and industry-expert mentorship available to startups in the network.
