Legacy Academy Charter School

RUSH Construction is spearheading the repurposing of this former Publix Grocery store into a new charter school. The 26,000 SF space will be transformed into the new home of the Legacy Academy Charter School, with classes scheduled to begin in August of 2018.

The interior of the space has been selectively demolished to its structural frame and will be rebuilt into a state-of-art, digitally wired, youthful learning center with 20 classrooms, an art room, cafeteria, warming kitchen and playground. The building’s exterior facelift, interior re-purposing and the future academic activity will resurrect what had become a near vacant shopping center and reinvigorate this sleepy corner of Titusville with vibrant activity.

The Pre-K – Sixth Grade public charter school, currently in a temporary location, utilizes STEAM as an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
