Groundswell Startups future headquarters are located at the riverfront Tech Village located in Downtown Melbourne. Check out what many are calling, “the most impressive startup space in the State of Florida”.
The grand opening for Groundswell Startups (501c3) headquarters will take place on Friday, March 24th at 5P.M. The diverse founding team is made up of millennials, serial entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists who are committed to attracting and retaining talent in Space Coast, FL. The initiative’s innovation event series and one-on-one mentor network helped to fund nine early stage startups in the past year.
All resources and industry-expert mentorship are made available to high tech founders at no cost. The
Groundswell team fosters a policy of “no equity and no-strings” as part of its effort to strengthen a culture of entrepreneurship in the region.
Local venture capitalist and philanthropist, Bud Deffebach, has renovated an indoor skatepark to serve as headquarters for emerging startups. While the graffiti will stay on the walls of the skatepark, the space now serves as office and co-working space to the more than 60 companies seeking to scale operations in Space Coast, FL.
The grand opening will serve to acknowledge the more than 40 industry-expert mentors who are working with Groundswell to attract wealth to the region by first delivering a culture of entrepreneurship that best supports emerging technologists and creatives. The University of Florida has already scheduled to host a cyber security conference for students at the facility this summer. Plans for several other talent partnerships are underway.
