Wells Fargo Advisors

Since its establishment in 1852, Wells Fargo – the fourth largest financial services company in the U.S. based on assets as of 12/31/11 – has been known as a supporter of women in business. Named one of Working Mother’s “100 Best Companies,” the company is also known as a great place for women to work.*

Locally, nine women from three Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC branch offices serve Brevard County and offer residents the utmost experience in comprehensive investment planning, retirement planning, estate investment planning, professional asset management and wealth management services. Eight of the women have over 15 years with the firm, including Betts Silvernail, First Vice President-Investment Officer, with 29 years. Laraine Schultz, Branch Manager-Vice President of Melbourne, says, “helping people reach their financial goals by developing a complete investment plan based on their goals and objectives is incredibly satisfying. That is why we are here.”

“We have all the training, technology and investment choices available in order to help our clients plan their financial lives. We listen to what matters to them, and help them plan their finances around their ideals, not just provide cookie-cutter solutions for every investor,” says Darlene Perna, Associate Vice President – Investment Officer of the Merritt Island Branch.

As trusted advisors, the women of Wells Fargo Advisors are relied upon to help clients prepare for expected and unexpected life-changing events, and ultimately help make the right financial decisions. “Regardless of marital status, we help educate women on managing their finances, as well as plan for all of life’s stages,” explains Leasha Flammio-Watson, First Vice President-Investment Officer of the Suntree Branch.

Collectively, the women of Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC are involved in countless local outreach organizations including Daily Bread, Women’s Business Center at FIT, Health First Foundation, South Brevard Women’s Center, Scott Center for Autism at FIT, Kiwanis Club of Merritt Island, Brevard Symphony Orchestra, The Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts at FIT, and many more. “We find it rewarding to help those in our community by giving back to the organizations in need of support,” says Jan Hill, Senior Vice President of the Melbourne Branch.
