UTB United Third Bridge in association with The Florida Puerto Rican/Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Inc., will never forget the 2,975 Puerto Rican victims of Hurricane Maria. This year marked the second anniversary on September 20, 2019.
We will kick off this year’s weekend celebration with our 23rd Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade Banquet Gala and Awards ceremony on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites located at 301 Tucker Lane, Cocoa Florida 32926 starting with a cocktail hour at 6pm with dinner served at 7:30pm when the award presentation will commence. Ticket price of the gala is $50 per person/$95 per couple.
As part of this weekend celebration, on Saturday, November 2, 2019, dignitaries are invited to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and attend a tour of the Juan Ponce de Leon Landing Site, where the statue is located, in Melbourne Beach, and also where the first landing took place of the discovery of Florida by Don Juan Ponce de Leon on April 2nd 1513. This tour will begin at 10:00am to 2:00pm leaving from the Holiday Inn Express lobby.
On Sunday, November 3, 2019, U.T.B. Educational and Cultural Florida’s 23rd Annual Florida Puerto Rican Day Parade starting at 2pm will be celebrating our heritage with live bands, floats, marchers, dancing and food. The lineup for the parade will start on Eldron Blvd heading west on Malabar Road in Palm Bay, Florida and ending with a free festival in front of Palm Bay City Hall.
