Alexandrea “Alex” R. Simser is a well-rounded business attorney whose practice focuses on all aspects of business law, from new business formations and intellectual property protection to growth through hiring and firing, mergers and acquisitions, business dissolutions and everything in between. Prior to opening her firm, Simser served as in-house counsel to an international communications enterprise headquartered in Melbourne. She now serves as virtual general counsel to companies that do not have a need for a full-time in-house counsel.

Smiser has represented a variety of business clients in both high-tech and low-tech industries, including commercial and government satellite connectivity service providers, an avionics manufacturer, a cloud and data center solutions provider, a VoIP provider, an IT consulting business, and several international marketing and sales agents.

Simser was born in Orlando and attended high school in Cocoa Beach, where she was the only student in her class to graduate with both a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts from Eastern Florida State College. She went on to graduate magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Florida State University, and received her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) with a Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy from Stetson University College of Law, where she graduated in the top 20 percent of her class and served as an editor on The Stetson Law Review.

Simser also holds a Master of Business Administration from Stetson University. While in law school, she interned for the Honorable David A. Demers and was selected to serve as a teaching assistant for Legal Research & Writing courses. Simser is currently admitted to the bar of the State of Florida and is a member of the Brevard County Bar Association.

Aside from her dedication to the practice of law, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling around exploring old stuff and exercising.
