O. John Alpizar began his legal career in 1978 with a simple desire: to help people in the community. David M. Alpizar joined Alpizar Law in 2007, making the firm two generations strong, and it continues to grow with Andrew Pickett joining in 2013. Today, Alpizar Law is one of Brevard’s oldest and most proven personal injury law firms, and their dedication to help continues.
Alpizar Law’s area of practice specialization includes: tractor-trailer and commercial trucking accidents; wrongful death; automobile accidents; catastrophic injury claims; motorcycle collisions; bicycle/pedestrian accidents; boating/watercraft accidents; and maritime/Jones Act claims.
John Alpizar received the 2015 Community Leader of the Year Award from the Brevard Bar Foundation in recognition of his many contributions to the Brevard County community. Not only is John Alpizar generous with his time, such as serving on the Florida Bar Board of Governors, but also is generous with financial contributions to many worthy causes. John exemplifies the mission of the Brevard Bar Foundation in placing a high value on giving back to his community in many and various ways. He is the founder of the John Alpizar Endowment for the Brevard Bar Foundation which enables the Foundation to build toward financial self-sufficiency to continue its monthly donations to local charities. He has been recognized for the 2015 Latino America Who’s Who, was awarded 2014 EAGLE Legend Lawyer to Legacy by The Florida Justice Association, selected to The National Association of Distinguished Counsel Nation’s Top ONE Percent and is regularly listed in Florida’s Super Lawyers, a peer-reviewed publication representing only the top 5 percent of lawyers in Florida. John is a member of the Central Florida American Board of Trial Advocacy, Florida Justice Association, Southern Trial Lawyers, Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America and American Association for Justice. He has been among a group selected for elite membership of the Multi- Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
David Alpizar has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as a Rising Star. He has also been selected to the National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40. He serves as the President of the Vassar B. Carlton Inn of Court and has served as president of the Brevard County Bar Association – Young Lawyers Division. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice.
David has been selected to The National Association of Distinguished Counsel Nations Top ONE Percent, and is Nationally Ranked – Top 10 Under 40 with the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys, which is an organization devoted to recognizing the top Personal Injury attorneys in the nation.
Andrew Pickett was selected as a Top 12 Finalist for the LEAD Brevard’s 4 Under 40, currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Brevard County Bar Association and the Friends of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Brevard, and has been selected to the Nation’s Top One Percent of Attorneys by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. Andrew also served on the Grant Review Committee for the Community Foundation for Brevard. He was re-elected to represent the 18th Circuit on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors. He was recently featured in FLORIDA TODAY as “One to Watch.” Andrew also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Eastern Florida State College in the paralegal program and is a part-time instructor in the Law Enforcement Academy.
