O. John Alpizar began his legal career over 35 years ago with a simple desire: to help people in the community. David M. Alpizar joined Alpizar Law in 2007, making the firm two generations strong, and it continues to grow with Andrew Pickett joining in 2013. John was recently reelected by his peers to serve as representative for the 18th Circuit to the Florida Board of Governors. He has served as past president of the Brevard County Bar Association, on the 18th Circuit Judicial Nominating Committee, the Fifth District Court of Appeals Judicial Nominating Committee and 18th Circuit Grievance Committee. John is a member of the Central Florida American Board of Trial Advocacy, Florida Justice Association, Southern Trial Lawyers, Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America and American Association for Justice. He has been among a group selected for elite membership of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. John also serves as president of the Central Florida chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocacy (ABOTA).
David has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as a Rising Star. He has also been selected to the National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40. David has served as president of the Brevard County Bar Association -Young Lawyers Division. He serves as the secretary/treasurer of the Vassar B. Carlton Inn of Court. David is a member of the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice.
David is a nominated finalist for LEAD Brevard’s 2014 “4 Under 40.” The 10th Annual “4 Under 40” recognition celebrates the accomplishments of Brevard’s leaders. Finalists were selected by a group of independent community leaders based on their ability to demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession as well as provide valuable services by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community and clearly serve as a role model for others personally and professionally.
Andrew Pickett recently joined Alpizar Law, LLC after four years at the State Attorney’s office. In 2011, Andrew was awarded the State Attorney’s Office Pride in Excellence Attorney of the Year Award. Andrew is a member of the Brevard County Bar Association and served as 2012-2013 president of the Brevard County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. He was reelected to represent the 18th Circuit on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors and is adjunct faculty at Eastern Florida State College.
