Rockledge, FL – Brevard Achievement Center (BAC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency whose mission is to provide innovative services and opportunities to achieve personal success to persons with disabilities, announces the culmination of an eight- week collaboration with Codecraft Works. Codecraft Works is an educational technology company powering a blended learning approach to computer science, engineering, and cybersecurity curriculum for students and educators.

The inaugural Fibonacci program is structured as a two part per-day program. The first part provides in-class web-development training that covers the basics of HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. The second part of the program certifies students in Google Analytics, and matches them with local businesses to provide analysis of web data. Blended into the program is an on-the-job training component, providing the students a paid work experience that reinforces what is learned in class.

In addition to Google Certifications, students will create an e-portfolio of project- based learning examples to share with potential future employers. This summer experience is the first of its kind for BAC and groundbreaking in its potential to open up new types of sustainable career pathways in the growing field of technology.

The program finale will consist of a demonstration day on July 29th, 2019 at 12pm, where participants will be able to present their work to local businesses, family and the media in an interactive showcase setting.
