We’ve found a young company with proven expertise in their field and a clear commitment to this area and that is extremely satisfying,” said Dr. Gene Shepherd, a member of the selection panel. “That their field includes the design of neurosurgical instruments is a nice bonus for me, since I practiced neurology here in Brevard County, for years.”

The selection panel, made up of seven members chosen for their various expertise in business included Charlie Burr, Joanne Corby, Robert Good, Don Laird, Vince Lamb, Gene Shepherd and Chester Straub.

The entrepreneurial award is now an annual event and CIA Developers has already begun planning for next year. The next application process for the $10,000 award will begin in September 2010. At that time information will be made available on CIA Developers website, www.cia-developers.com.

Once again, this was a great experience for all involved,” said Bruce Ingram, President of CIA Developers. It was an opportunity to honor and continue the vision of Gary Cunningham, CIA™ founder, listen to presentations from several good, young companies, and ultimately reward a company with a very bright future.
