Robert Good has been a Brevard County banker for over 20 years and has worked with Fidelity Bank of Florida for over four years. He earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Central Florida and his master’s degree in business administration from Webster University. In his role as senior vice president/chief lending officer, he manages a team of underwriters, business development personnel and lenders throughout Central Florida.
When asked what distinguishes Fidelity Bank of Florida from other banks, Good confidently stated, “Our advantage over other financial institutions is the speed at which we can get things done. With our local underwriters, senior management and board of directors, we can give our customers a quick answer and closing for their loan. While other banks are in the underwriting stages, we typically already have a commitment out to the client.”
Good also explained,“The best advice I’d give a business owner considering applying for a commercial loan is to pay close attention to your projections and cash flow. I have seen profitable businesses ultimately fail because of not accounting for the timing of cash in flow and out flow.”
Good is proud of the technology Fidelity Bank of Florida offers its clients, such as remote deposit capture, mobile banking and treasury management services including QuickBooks direct connect. Most clients are busy and appreciate the convenience of depositing checks by taking a picture on their mobile phone or scanning them using the remote deposit capture machine.
Good met his wife, Laura, at Palm Bay High School and they have been married 24 years. They have two teenage boys and enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, golfing, airboating and jet skiing. ◆
