EXECUTIVES: Ken Welsh, President/CEO
LOCATION: Melbourne, FL
Welsh Construction, LLC of Melbourne was founded by owner and president, Ken Welsh, in 2003. Welsh and his executive team each have decades of commercial construction experience. The company provides construction and design/build services in the retail, office, medical, restaurant, educational, storage, religious and municipal sectors throughout the state. Ken promotes the “team” concept among employees and with customers on all projects and strives to “build relationships for life.”
2016 was a busy year for the construction industry in Brevard County and the east Central Florida market, and 2017 is on a similar track. Welsh tripled his staff over the last year and recently completed construction on the company’s new 10,000 square foot headquarters in Melbourne at 3845 West Eau Gallie Boulevard, near the intersection of Eau Gallie and Sarno Roads. The complex will house the offices of Welsh Construction and Shane Smith, PA, with office space available for sale or lease.
Welsh Construction is known locally for its construction of religious facilities like the Calvary Chapel complex in West Melbourne and Calvary Chapel Viera. Currently, company signs can be seen at projects all over the county, including the Dr. George Roque medical expansion and Terry Laboratories, both in West Melbourne. The company is also engaged in designing and building renovations at Saturn, Fairglen Elementary and Kennedy Middle Schools. A 91,000-sq.-ft. Extra Space self-storage facility in Sanford and a Creative World School in St. Cloud are also currently on the Welsh project list.
Welsh is a fully qualified, licensed, insured and bonded general contractor. He was raised in Brevard County, and his executive team includes Chief Estimator Gary Goodwin and Vice President for Development Chris Norton, who are also well known in the construction sector. The Welsh Team “builds relationships for life” and welcomes the opportunity to work with you.
