Deborah Kemps

For as long as Deborah can remember, she has had the desire and talent to experiment and create tasty works of art for her family, friends and clients. Her favorite Christmas gift was her Easy-Bake Oven at age 6, and she hasn’t looked back since. Deborah has had several careers in banking, insurance and real estate, but her passion and avocation has been the pursuit of her dream of making desserts look as great as they taste.

In 2006, she retired from banking, and for the next few years actively pursued further education in baking, candy and chocolate making, cake decorating and culinary skills.

She launched her custom cake and dessert business in early 2010, and quickly became popular for her special cake truffles. Also known as cake pops or poppers, Deborah has developed a variety of these hand rolled, chocolate dipped delights, which are perfect for entertaining crowds of all sizes and tastes. Limited only by the client’s imagination and made to order, they are often decorated in the host’s party theme. They have been proven to be perfect for sports themed or corporate events with customized logos on each popper.

Deborah also excels and enjoys working with bridal parties and party planners to provide the perfect dessert event. Once the flavors and designs are determined, hours are poured into the custom design and creation of sugar flowers, fondant appliqués and chocolate toppers to personalize the cake for the special day.

Now affectionately known as the “Snicky Snack Genius,” some of Deborah’s other specialties are the decadent and moist pistachio Bundt cake, and the ever-popular chocolate almond Roca candy. Deb never knows what she might get a request for next. Last year her husband requested a black forest cake with cherries and chocolate dipped bacon! Although she was skeptical, it has become viral and is now often requested.
