Debbie Pavlakos, Vice President Business Development at Brevard Title, LLC
Debbie Pavlakos was born in Rockledge, Florida and grew up in Eau Gallie. Married to John for 42 years, they raised two daughters, Stephanie and Cortney. After graduation from the University of Florida, Stephanie moved to Tampa but Cortney still lives with mom and dad and attends Brevard Achievement Center in Rockledge.
Debbie believes in giving back to community and over the years, has been involved in several not-for-profits. She is a past chair of the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, on the board for Junior Achievement, United Way, Circles of Care, Brevard Achievement Center, and past chair of weVENTURE. Something she is very proud of is working with a group of local influential women to form The League of Extraordinary Women (LEW) in 2014. Now in its second year, LEW began as a way to support weVENTURE and to strengthen women-owned businesses, elevate women in leadership roles and create new opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Debbie spent 35 years as a commercial banker in Brevard County. She left banking in 2015 for retirement. After a couple of months into retirement she was approached about a new opportunity that would allow for semi-retirement. The company was Brevard Title, an attorney-managed title company. This was a great opportunity to use the skills from her banking career, but learn a new industry.
At Brevard Title, Debbie works with buyers, sellers, realtors, lenders, attorneys, surveyors, home inspection companies, builders, hazard insurance companies and others to coordinate the many details and obtain the necessary documentation to close the sale or mortgage transaction. Brevard Title has a permanent client services team available to provide concierge level service from the pre-contract state to all post-closing matters. As an attorney-managed title company, they are able to combine the services of a traditional title company with the significant advantage of experienced legal counsel involved during the entire closing process, all at a cost that is no more than a traditional title company.
