When Allen started at FINFROCK full time in 1990, he had long known what he wanted to do. Having spent countless hours as a child in the facility and working summers while a student, he was able to hit the ground running after graduating from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. His father’s precast concrete manufacturing company provided ample challenges that were perfect for Allen’s strategic and analytical skills.

FINFROCK has always believed the best employees learned the business by working from the bottom up. Allen’s training included many areas of the company, including manufacturing, quality control, design, estimating, construction, sales, and software development. This broad exposure to so many areas of the business, as well as an engineering degree from Vanderbilt and an MBA from Rollins Crummer Graduate School of Business, enabled him to help envision and change the company into the diverse, vertically integrated company that it has become. In Allen’s 26-year-long career, FINFROCK has evolved into a complete design-builder of mid-rise concrete buildings, as well as a real estate development and software company.

Allen also worked with his father Robert to invent and patent the DualDeckTM technology, a new floor system that is changing the way buildings are constructed in Florida. Allen, as CEO of FINFROCK, is directly involved with every aspect of the company and each facet of the design-build process.
