Heidi Hughes began Spatial Technologies, LLC, a woman-owned small business, as a sole proprietor in 2003. Spatial became a competitive player in the geospatial mapping industry while its gross annual revenues increased nearly 100 percent each year since the inception of the company.
Over the past decade, Hughes has brought together a technical team who has created custom software solutions for complex utilities infrastructure mapping, cyber and situational awareness analytics, and statistical reporting.
Hughes shares, “Spatial’s employees are the reason for the company’s success and continued growth. Our customers recognize Spatial’s talent and dedication to providing comprehensive solutions and superior customer service.”
Today, Spatial’s capabilities range from core GIS mapping services to enterprise-level communications system architecture and implementation. Spatial’s team of innovative IT experts have built robust, secure applications for the Department of Defense, local governments and commercial entities.
Hughes recently earned her master’s degree from the competitive executive MBA program at the University of Central Florida and serves as the regional vice president for the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). Serving her community plays a major role as both an individual and a mentor. Her team donates its time and resources to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Brevard County Schools and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
