A native of New York, Jessica Nicolette relocated to Brevard County 15 years ago with her family. With family and friends in the business, it was only natural that Nicolette found herself intrigued by the mortgage industry and the many processes that go together to help a homebuyer finance a home purchase. She received her mortgage loan originators license in 2010, and a year later, graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Nicolette quickly put her learned skills to work, and entered the mortgage industry as a loan processor for a local lender. Within two years, she made the move to a growing Shelter Mortgage Company as a junior loan officer. Today, she is a member of a multi- million dollar producing team consisting of mortgage loan specialist Deborah Holloway and loan processor Shannon Cone, along with their underwriting and closing teams.
Over the last five years, she has established lasting relationships with local realtors and builders throughout the community, based on the belief that “customer service and teamwork are essential for success.” Striving to make the process easier for each borrower, Nicolette and her team have implemented multiple new methods to help improve process flow and communication company-wide.
Nicolette is an expert in a wide array of products, including Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo and construction financing. She enjoys taking the time to help each borrower understand the process, because homebuyers often have many questions or simply don’t know which questions to ask. “The best part of my job is seeing the photos of my clients holding keys to their new home after they close,” she said.
“Jessica is an incredible asset to not only Deborah Holloway but to our team as a whole. She manages the one stop ‘Road Map’ of the loan from production to closing,” according to Branch Manager, Natasha Cartagena Spencer.
