John Alpizar began his legal career in 1978. David M. Alpizar joined Alpizar Law in 2007, and Andrew Pickett joined in 2013. The firm continues to grow, adding Scott D. Alpizar as its newest attorney.

John was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Membership among America’s Top 100 Attorneys, serves on the Florida Bar Board of Governors, and generously donates to many worthy causes. As the founder of the O. John Alpizar Endowment for the Brevard Bar Foundation, John exemplifies the mission of the Foundation in placing a high value on giving back to his community. John was recognized for the 2015 Latino America Who’s Who, awarded 2014 EAGLE Legend Lawyer to Legacy by the Florida Justice Association, selected to the National Association of Distinguished Counsel Nation’s Top ONE Percent and is regularly listed in Florida’s Super Lawyers, a peer-reviewed publication representing only the top five percent of lawyers in Florida. John has achieved an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubbell, the highest possible rating for an attorney for both ethical standards and legal ability. He is the immediate past president of the Central Florida American Board of Trial Advocacy and a member of the Florida Justice Association, Southern Trial Lawyers, Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America and American Association for Justice. He is also among an elite group selected for membership of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
David Alpizar has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as a Rising Star. David has achieved an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubbell and has also been selected to the National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40, the National Association of Distinguished Counsel Nations Top ONE Percent, and is Nationally Ranked – Top 10 Under 40 with the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys. He has served as the president of the Vassar B. Carlton Inn of Court and president of the Brevard County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. David also serves on the board of directors for various local charitable organizations.
Andrew Pickett came to Alpizar Law a er working as a prosecutor for the 18th Circuit State Attorney’s O ce. Pickett was recently appointed by Florida Gov. Rick Scott to the 18th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission for a term beginning March 31, 2017 and ending July 1, 2020. Andrew previously served as president of the Brevard County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and currently serves on the board of directors of the Brevard County Bar Association, as a representative of the Florida Bar Board of Governors Young Lawyers Division, and as a part-time instructor at the Law Enforcement Academy at Eastern Florida State College. Andrew has achieved an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubbell. In 2015, Andrew was recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as a Rising Star. In 2011, he was awarded the Pride in Excellence Attorney of the Year Award. He has also been selected to the National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40 and the Nation’s Top One Percent of Attorneys by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel.
Scott Alpizar is a Brevard County native, graduating from Holy Trinity Academy. Scott attended Harvard University where he played football and obtained a bachelor’s degree concentrating in economics. After receiving an MBA from Florida State University and working for several years in a prestigious position at a Fortune 100 company, Scott decided to pursue his Doctor of Law Degree (JD) at Florida International University. During law school, Scott clerked for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida and for a very prestigious personal injury rm in Miami, Florida. Scott is a member of the Vassar B. Carlton Inn of Court, the Florida Justice Association and the Brevard County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
