For the past 34 years, Nancy R. Taylor has been helping people realize their dreams.  Whether buying a first home, upgrading, downsizing or selling, her goal has been to make the transaction work and her clients happy.

As the founder of Prudential Sterling Properties, where she became a broker at age 24, Taylor said she has always had a passion for working one-on-one with others.  After graduating from high school, Taylor initially wanted to pursue a nursing degree, but after realizing there was almost a two-year waiting list to enter the program, she began looking at other options.  It was then she began her career in real estate at age 19 and has never regretted it.

Ironically, today she is involved in the medical profession in a different way, serving as chairperson of the Health First Foundation Board.  Taylor was responsible for the origination of the Health First Level 2 Trauma Center at Holmes Regional Hospital, where she has been involved with the board since her recovery from a car accident back in 1995 that left her critically injured and out of work for more than seven months.

Participation in this project, as well as many other local nonprofit organizations, was instrumental in leading her to be the recipient of the Holmes Regional Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2002.

“I think it is important to treat every client as if they are family,” said the 54-year-old grandmother, and wife of Ralph Taylor, her first love for more than 36 years.

When asked what she attributes to her success, Taylor said that though personality and market knowledge are very important, persistence and  reliability as well as honesty and  integrity  are key in being able to connect with buyers and sellers.

She and her business partner, Barbara Wall, who specialize in relocating corporate business professionals, now oversee two offices, one located in Indian Harbor Beach and the other in Vero Beach, with 55 full-time agents.  She is also co-owner of Liberty Maximum Title Insurance.

Taylor, who was Brevard’s Realtor of the Year in 2000, admits she is blessed to have started her career so young and was able to grow with it through the many cycles of challenging markets.
