FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  Palm Bay, May 13, 2011 – The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce has invited Colonel Danny R. McKnight, U.S. Army Retired and nationwide motivational speaker, to speak at their monthly networking luncheon on June 1st according to Victoria Northrup, president & CEO. Colonel McKnight will speak on the seven key values of leadership that are required to be successful when executing operations in the most difficult and severe situations.

Colonel McKnight’s military career includes combat duty on two occasions — Panama 1989 and Somalia 1993 – the basis of the Book and Movie “Black Hawk Down”. After completing over 28 years of service to our country Colonel McKnight returned to his hometown in Florida and now focuses all his efforts speaking nationwide on motivation.

“The Palm Bay Chamber is inviting distinguished speakers who can coach our members to make the monthly networking luncheon enjoyable, beneficial for doing business and educational – our goal is to have them learn something new each month,” stated Northrup.

The Chamber meets the first Wednesday of each month at the Life Care Center of Palm Bay at 175 Villa Nueva Ave NE off Malabar Road, just west of Palm Bay Hospital. Networking begins at 11:15 with lunch and program starting at noon. Cost is $20 for members and $25 for non-members or at the door.

The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, formed in 1989, has more than 900 members and is accredited with the US Chamber of Commerce with a four-star ranking, a distinguished honor bestowed to select Chambers and the only chamber in the US aligned with an international “sister” chamber in Cashel, Ireland.
