WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR JOB?

Developing our organization’s current and future leaders; creating a culture within our branch offices of serving our clients and meeting their needs with excellence; representing our fantastic organization by serving and supporting many community organizations.

WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO ON YOUR IPOD?

Whatever my kids request, but when they are not around I like pretty much anything: Earth, Wind & Fire, Charlie Wilson and Staind.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

“Leadership and Self-Deception: Getting out of the Box” by The Arbinger Institute and “Go Put Your Strengths to Work: 6 Powerful Steps to Achieve Outstanding Performance” by Marcus Buckingham.

WHO DO YOU ADMIRE AND WHY?

First and foremost, my parents, who raised five children on one income and sacrificed to provide all of us with a quality education, including getting all five into college. They taught me by word and deed how to properly care for, respect, and honor others, and those lessons continue to serve me today as a husband, father and leader at work and in the community.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT LIVING BREVARD COUNTY?

I have the most amazing and talented team members; my neighbors have been incredibly welcoming and friendly; my kids love their schools and are doing well; and the access to everything a family could need.

WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU HAD MORE TIME FOR NOW?

I wish I had more time to enjoy all that Brevard has to offer – I believe we’ve been to the beach once or twice since we’ve moved here.

WHAT IS ONE THING PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO LEARN ABOUT YOU?

That even though I provide leadership and direction to 16 direct employees and over 125 indirect employees, I’m the one taking the orders at home, particularly from my 4 year old who now tells me, “Daddy, just do it” when she wants something.  Also I came in third place in a slam dunk contest in college… and yes there were more than three participants.

CAN YOU TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT PNC?  WHAT’S NEW IN BANKING?

PNC Bank is over 160 years old and arrived in Brevard County three years ago through the acquisition of National City Bank.  In March of this year, we expanded our branch presence in Brevard by adding three additional locations through our acquisition of Royal Bank of Canada’s U.S. operations.  Banking, like many other industries, has had to overcome many challenges in the past couple of years due to factors such as the economy and regulatory change, but PNC has continued to emerge as one of the strongest, well capitalized financial institutions in the U.S.  What’s new in banking, particularly with PNC, is our continued focus to meet our clients where they are as well as where they are going to be, by developing the relationships, technology and contact strategy that our clients can benefit from today and cannot live without in the future.

WHAT’S MAKES PNC UNIQUE FROM OTHER BANKS?

What makes PNC unique is our commitment to building a culture of excellence and our commitment to create a consistent client experience within all of our branch offices that clients are valued, appreciated and consulted on a regular basis on tools and strategies that are customized to their unique needs and truly helps them reach the financial goals they have set for themselves, their families and their businesses.  Another factor that makes PNC unique is our focus on assisting every client that walks into our doors by having a comprehensive conversation that provides the advice, tools and resources they need to successfully retire and enjoy that time of their lives.  Lastly, we have an incredible commitment to the communities in which we serve; we have and continue to partner with and serve several of the community organizations in the county such as: Space Coast Early Intervention Center (which I serve on the Board of Directors), Brevard Family Partnership, Viera Children’s Academy, United Way of Brevard, and many others. We truly believe in investing our time, talent and treasure back into the communities in which we are privileged to serve.
