Life is full of surprises and unexpected adventures that can offer great blessings. Shannon Justice’s adventure at Merle Norman Cosmetics began with a family member and a client informing her of an open position at the Melbourne Square Mall. After inquiring to the owners, and having her eyebrows waxed for the first time, she was offered a part time position as a beauty consultant.
Having graduated with a degree in biology, the part time position at Merle Norman Cosmetics was supposed to be temporary, but instead of pursuing a career in science, Shannon acquired her aesthetics license. In 1997, she began her career of meeting and caring for the skin and beauty aspects of the women and men throughout Brevard County.
“I fell in love with Merle Norman and their stand on providing clients with skin care, cosmetic and make-up products all made in-house in Los Angeles for 90 years. By attending the Merle Norman school and visiting the facilities, I became confident that Merle Norman herself loved to make people look and feel beautiful.”
After 16 years of countless facials, waxes, make-up applications, makeovers, weddings, proms and photo shoots, Shannon has developed the same passion as Merle Norman and loves making people look and feel beautiful.
Her success is enhanced every day with the introduction of a new client, the smile of a client who feels beautiful after meeting their needs, and the personal relationships that are built by those who return again and again. Shannon says her biggest challenge is wanting more in her business day to spend with each and every client.
Now in 2014, Shannon has acquired the Melbourne Square Mall Merle Norman studio. For the past 38 years, this studio has consistently strived to make each and every client look and feel beautiful and the tradition will continue.
