“A 1940’s vintage-themed live swing band dance event to celebrate the end of WWII”

Brevard County, FL (September 15, 2019) The Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse (HCVP), long known for its expansive talent and lavish Broadway on Brevard productions will be hosting yet another historically themed extravaganza. The first of its kind for the Space Coast, the HCVP will present a 1940’s vintage swing dance in the form of a WWII Hangar Party. The fundraiser to benefit the Playhouse, now in its 30th Season, will honor the 75th Anniversary of the conclusion of WWII. The monumental event will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 5 to 11pm, at the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum, 6600 Tico Road, Titusville.

With numerous WWII planes as the backdrop, the vintage-themed Hangar Party fundraiser will host a live swing band, dance and costume contests, dinner, drinks, and museum tours throughout the evening; WWII commemorative items will be sold along with raffles and a live auction. In addition, character actors and singers will perform, with a Winston Churchill cigar bar on hand as well as cordials and special drinks of the era.

All United States veterans are invited to attend and celebrate the Playhouse anniversary fundraising event; however, WWII vets only, are invited to attend as guests for free. VIP tickets are $150 per person, with general admission at $75, and corporate sponsorship opportunities also available. Gates will open at 5 pm with a cocktail reception; band begins at 6 pm, with dinner at 6 :30 pm in the main Warbird Museum Hangar. Period themed costumes are encouraged (but not required).
