Timi Tucker is a shareholder in the law firm of Tucker Mitnik, P.A. located at 10 Suntree Place, Melbourne, Florida. Ms. Tucker and her husband Keith Mitnik established the firm on March 1, 2004. After graduating from Merritt Island Christian School in Merritt Island, Florida, Ms. Tucker attended Cumberland College earning Bachelor of Science degrees in both Political Science and English. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of College of Law. She began her legal career as a staff attorney for the Chief Judge of the Kentucky Court of Appeals.
After working at the Court of Appeals, she accepted employment with Suntrust Bank, N.A. in Johnson City, Tennessee. She moved back to Brevard County in January 1998. Desiring to spend more time in court and less time behind a desk, she became an Assistant Public Defender in and for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit. In February 2004, Ms. Tucker was honored with the Judge T. Mitchell Barlow Young Lawyer Award for Professionalism.
Today, Ms. Tucker focuses her practice and her attention on family law and all issues related to domestic matters such as divorce, paternity, timesharing (child custody), child support, contempt and enforcement of court orders, and injunctions while Mr. Mitnik concentrates his practice in the area of criminal law. Ms. Tucker is an active member of both the Kentucky Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association. She also serves of the Florida Institute of Technology Pre-Law Advisory Board and is the President of the Brevard County Bar Association. Staying active professionally in the community in which she lives, Ms. Tucker recognizes that legal matters can be stressful and encourages those seeking legal counsel to choose carefully. Both Ms. Tucker and Mr. Mitnik seek to combine effective legal strategies and aggressive representation with compassionate support for their clients.
