Profession: Director of Marketing and Operations
Rhett Fischer holds a bachelor degree in education from the University of Central Florida and masters from Florida State University. Following graduation, he worked with USGA and went on to teach elementary school at Lewis Carol in Merritt Island. Having the opportunity to join forces with his father in the restaurant business, Rhett is now the director of marketing and operations for Rusty’s Seafood and Oyster Bar, and a fourth generation restaurateur.
Affiliations: President of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association,where the mission is to protect, preserve, promote and educate those in thehospitality industry, with a focus on preserving LOCAL businesses. He alsoworks with the hospitality education program, which helps area high schoolstudents wanting to make a living in the hospitality industry.
